How it Works

After creating an account, follow these steps to get your first profiles of your guests

Step 1: Upload Guest List

Import the list of guests, of which you would like to enrich your data. The results will only be as good as the data you provide. Therefore, add a company name, email, city or country to narrow down the search. Would you like to integrate with your PMS? Make sure to contact us over the contact form.

Step 2: AI Scans
the Web

The search for each guest can take up to 2 minutes. So feel free to focus on other tasks. We will notify you per mail when the search is complete.

Step 3: See Your Results!

For each guest, a short bio is created. You can ask the AI to do more work for you, such as suggesting a custom treatment, search for likes / dislikes, or try to find an event the guest may attend. Important: Make sure to always check the content and think critically about the results. The AI can make mistakes!

FAQ's

Do I need to inform my guests that I'm using Who'sMyGuest?

Yes. Under GDPR Articles 13 and 14, guests must be informed if their personal data is being processed. This includes the use of publicly available information to enrich their profiles. For example, you can do this via your existing privacy policy or during the booking process.

Not necessarily. You can rely on “legitimate interest” (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) as your legal basis for data enrichment, especially if it’s used to enhance service quality. However, consent is always the safest option if you’re unsure.

Who is the Data Controller and who is the Data Processor?

You (the hotel) are the Data Controller. Who’sMyGuest acts as your Data Processor and only processes data on your behalf.

What kind of guest data can I upload?

Only data that is necessary, lawful, and not sensitive (e.g., no health, religion, or political info). Typically: name, email, nationality, city, birthday, company.

What does Who'sMyGuest do with the data?

We enrich it using publicly available online sources and AI to generate bios, social links, interests, and personalization ideas. No scraping or illegal data access is involved.

Is a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) in place?

Yes. You accept the DPA during signup. A copy is available here: DPA

Is my data secure?

Yes. Who’sMyGuest implements strong technical and organizational measures (TOMs), including encryption, access control, and hosting on GDPR-compliant infrastructure in Germany. Read about them in Annex 1 of our Data Processing Agreement.

What should I do if a guest objects to this processing?

You should either remove them from the enrichment batch or respect their objection by manually adjusting your personalization approach.
